Stephen Mangan

Stephen Mangan has a growing reputation as an important Scottish contemporary artist. He was born in Edinburgh in 1964 and graduated with a BA Hons degree from Duncan of Jordanstone Art College, Dundee in 1988. Since completing his post-graduate diploma in 1989, his work has been shown in numerous group and solo exhibitions throughout the UK and in New York, Hong Kong and Holland.

Mangan’s figurative work is particularly distinctive. As we explore the paintings we become increasingly involved with his unique vision. His work represents another time, another place and another world. Well known for his scenes of the race-course, the beach, the station, the fairground and now the theatre, Mangan’s work continues to impress.

His painting’s are admired globally and held in many private and public collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Stephen is currently working on a series of 50 works for his much anticipated one man show in London 2012.
